One Month Old

Last week I was one month old - of course we had to take some photos...

First Duffy Ride

At 3 weeks old I took my first Duffy boat ride. I wish they made life jackets that came in my size. I am swimming in this one - it is for kids up to 30 pounds...

First Trip to Laguna

Sunday, August 21

Gramma DesVeaux has been in town since last Wednesday - it has been nice to have her here. We ventured out to dinner on Sunday night to House of Big Fish and Ice Cold Beer. I was on my best behavior.

Dylan and Kaitlyn joined us - how cute are they. I can't wait until I'm a little older and I can actually stay awake for a meal - I slept right through this one...

Thursday, August 4

Grandma and Buddy (Ryans folks) came to visit today.. There were so excited to see me.

Thursday night we went to Eat Chow for dinner. Friday Grandma, Mom and I walked around Balboa Island while the boys went sailing. I'm not sure why I got stuck shopping with the girls. Next time I want to hang with the boys on the water. Friday night we had a BBQ at our house. Saturday brunch at 333. Saturday night dinner at True Food Kitchen.

Sunday morning we got up and went to church. I enjoyed the music and was on my best behavior..

Wednesday, August 3

Okay so we are already falling behind on the blog. What can I say we have been busy.

In addition to all the visitors in the hospital
we have had a number of people visit since we have been home.. Jeff & Amanda Mercer came by with my new buddy Beckett - he is a few months older than me. We didn't really know what to do with each other so we just stared at each other. Mostly he stared at me. I still have trouble staying awake.

I had my first bath at home which wasn't too bad ~

until mom started scrubbing under my chin and in between my fat rolls and when she took me out it was cold.. As you can see that upset me.

Here is a picture of me in my crib. Don't I look tiny!

Hiccups and Sneezes

Gavin has been home for just over 36 hours now, and we've noticed that baby hiccups and sneezes are always cute. Even at 3 a.m. He's definitely Nicole's son, as he is just as surprised as everyone else in the room when he sneezes -- one of her more endearing traits. Gavin, nonetheless seems to like his new environment and has fit right in with the family activities.

He likes to hang out with his pals, Koala and Bumble Bee on his mat.

He went on his first family walk, and got to see his mother, who knows every neighbor on the block, in action. Some might mistake her for the mayor :0). We live in a great neighborhood and appreciate the good folks that live close by. Gavin seemed to love being outside meeting everyone and rolled along with Gus at his side with a peaceful smile on his little face.

He even got to go out to a fancy breakfast at one of our local favorites-- Plums. All in all it's been a great few days at home with the boy.

Headin' Home

After four eventful days at Hotel Hoag, it was time to swaddle up and head home. Gavin met the challenge of pulling up stakes from his birthplace with typical aplomb. He slept through the entire event.

And once he got home, he again reacted to the potentially stressful change in venue with his signature move. Sleep.

We are grateful to be home with our healthy little boy and look forward to showing him his new 'hood.
